AUTOMATA is a private company of medium dimension operating in the industrial automation field. Main activity is developing, producing and distributing products and systems for machinery and process control. Wood, textile, automotive, plastic machine manufacturers are just a few application fields where AUTOMATA supplies HMI and control systems.
AUTOMATA belongs to Cannon group which is worldwide leader for manufacturing dispensing machines of Polyurethane foams.
Automata was founded in 1980 as automation department of Cannon group with mission to develop embedded automation systems for Group’s companies. Today Automata operates through two production sites located in Caronno Pertusella (VA) in Italy and Ried (Munchen) in Germany and employs about 50 people. Both facilities have a similar structure where R&D covers more than 30% of the total resources. This is an important characteristic that allows Automata to be very close to customers’ needs, sharing experience and skill in the main European market of machine manufacturers.
AUTOMATA has started in 2003 an operative service centre in China located in Shanghai to provide local support to its customers in far east.
