It is good to have a solution right out of the box. It can be used ‘as it is’, availability is short term, no risk on what the outcome of a development might be. But in some cases you will need something different:
Technical requirements are not fulfilled
The esthetics are not ok, don’t fit with our design
Price of the ‘out-of-the-shelf’ product is much too high
