AUTOMATA: A1 PC based automation system

A1 is an integrated PC platform for automation of machines and plants. By extension modules the A1 base unit transforms to an industrial PC, an operator panel, a control or to a combination of these functions integrated in one device.

A1 has the Realtime Ethernet standard SERCOS III already onboard

SERCOS III means fast and high synchronouse communication between controls, drives and IO‘s as well as flexibility and utmost availability of machines and plants. A1 has the SERCOS III master interface implemented onboard. This guarantees highest performance at low costs.
A1 allows distributed panels
At large machines ditributed panels facilitate assembly, operation, control and maintenance. A1 allows to connect up to 64 operator panels at one base unit over a single 500 m long ring cable. As alternative operator panels can be connected direct to the base unit or distributed via a single point-to-point cable.

A1 overs software flexibility

Thanks to the availability of different operating systems and the IEC 61131 tool CoDeSys A1 fulfills all requirements of control applications. This minimizes the development efforts and helps to reduce the time-to-market of new machines and versions.
